佃コーポの夏祭で菜の花プロジェクト紹介

7月２７日、あおぞら財団では菜の花プロジェクトを紹介するために地域の祭りに携わりました。「佃コーポ」の祭でバルーンアートの出展をしました。スタッフは客の要望をきいて、バルーンの形をつくりました。
Today members of the Aozora Office participated in the Tsukuda Community festival. We had a booth set up where people of all ages could make balloon art. Visitors to our booth could design whatever they wanted with the balloons we provided or ask one of the staff members to make what they desired.

お客のほとんどは子供たちで刀と猫のバルーンをもとめました。
Our visitors were mostly young children requesting either a sword or a cat.

バルーンアートと一緒にキャンドルナイトのチラシをわたしました。廃油をリサイクルしてキャンドルを作ります。キャンドルづくりにつかう空ビンを集めるためのチラシです。キャンドルナイトは12月22日です。
Along with providing the balloons, we provided flyers for Candle Night that will be taking place on 12/22/2013. There we will be using used oil to make candles.

この祭の雰囲気はとても楽しいとおもいました。佃コーポの人達はお互いとても強く支えあっているようにみえました。すべての人がそれそれの出店ブースを客としておわり、楽しい時をすごしていました。
The atmoshpehre of the evening acivities was a very pleasnant feeling. The Tsukuda Community seems very strong and supportive of one another. Overall everyone seemed to have a good time enjoying each others company and supporting the different booths.

倉敷市環境学習センターでフードマイレージ買物ゲーム

倉敷市環境学習センターで、フードマイレージ買物ゲームを実施しました。

親子でメニューを考えるのは、とても楽しそうでした。
夏休みの自由研究にもなるし、一石二鳥ですね。

あおぞらイコバ野菜市

７月２４日はあおぞら財団のイコバで野菜市でした。野菜市は楽しい経験でした。その日は「カフェスロー大阪」と「みやこ菜園」と「楽成体」が出店をしました。初めはたくさん人は来ませんでしたが、すぐに多くの人が来てたくさん野菜を買いました。

Today was the Vegetable Market day at Aozora koba. It was a fun experience. At first it seemed like not a lot of people would come and support the cause, but soon that changed when several people came and purchased a lot of vegetables.

野菜の販売は二つの店が出しました。カフェスロー大阪とみやこ菜園の出店です。２店とも、野菜は全部無農薬で野菜を育てます。

There were two stands set up. One for café slow representatives and the other for Miyako’s vegetables from Kyoto. They both utilized pesticide free ways of growing the vegetables.

みやこ菜園のトマトは一番注目をうけた野菜で、たくさんの人が買いました。トマトはとてもおいしかったです。野菜と一緒にカフェスロー大阪は昼ごはんとかき氷を作りました。昼ごはんは「冷製野菜スープごはん」です。おいしいご飯と野菜汁物です。両方とてもおいしくみんな素敵な時間を過ごセました。皆さんもいつか野菜市を体験に見てください。

Out of the vegetables purchased the tomato from Miyako’s stand received the most attention and was declared the delicious vegetable of the day. Along with the vegetables there were also flavored ice and lunch being served. Both were very delicious and everyone had a wonderful time. I hope in the future that you too will be able to experience the vegetable day!

茨木市でフードマイレージ講座（7/24）

茨木市のボランティア団体　彩都オレンジリンクの会が茨木市版のフードマイレージ買物ゲームを作ることになりました。
そのワークショップにあおぞら財団のインターンシップ生のクリスティーナ・ヴィードさんが同行してレポートを書いてくれました。（林）

茨木市で地域のボランティアさんや学校の先生にフードマイレージ講座をしました。初めに、かんたんなゲームの紹介がありルールを覚えました。そのあと二つのグループはゲームを始めました。

Yesterday was the food mileage event at (location) for local volunteers and school teachers。The evening started with simple introductions and explanations of the rules and afterwards each group dove right into starting the game.

現在のグループは左で1970年のグループは右です。それそれのグループはあたえられた予算の中で購入する食べ物を決めて食事をつくらなくてはいけません。また食べ物を買いにいく行き先と方法を決めます。

The groups were separated with the 1970 team to the right and the current times to the left. Each group had to create a meal using the given budget and decide where they would purchase the food and how they reach the desired destination to purchase the foods.

現在のグループを見たら、食べ物の決めて買う時に少しむずかしいと思いました。このゲームで設定された予算は４人家族の予算です。私のグループは５人だったので５人でひと家族と考えた時、この予算で食事をつくるのはむずかしいと思いました。けれど、４人家族として買い物をするとちょうど良い量の食べ物がかえました。

I was able to sit and participate in the present time table and we realized that deciding what to buy and stay within our budget was a really difficult process. The food prices were a bit high and we also had to make sure we had enough food for the entire family to eat.

その後でそれそれのグループは晩ご飯の絵をかきました。そして食べ物を運ぶのに出されたＣＯ２の量を学びました。フードマイレージ講座はとてもおもしろく、皆たくさんのことを学びました。After the decision of what to eat each team prepared drawings of what they would prepare. Afterwards the results were presented of the CO2 levels of the goods. The entire event was very surprising to see. Everyone learned a lot from the game.

このフードマイレージ講座は私の初めての経験でした。このゲームはすこしむずかしいけど、全体的にはたのしくて、とおもしろい経験でした。

This was my first time experiencing the food mileage event. It was a bit difficult for me to understand but overall the event was a fun and interesting experience.
